Thursday Thirteen: 13 Things I Need to Do

Whoops! Running a bit late, this week - but I've got a good reason, honest! I've been writing, and today I had a nice walk around the neighborhood with a friend to enjoy the gorgeous weather. Can't beat that, right? Anyway, now I'm here and here's my list for this week's Thursday Thirteen:

Thirteen Things I Need to Do

1) First and foremost: Finish this list.

Yeah, that'd be good.
Picture
2) I need to assemble this lovely buffet the hubby and I purchased at IKEA last weekend.

Well, actually... *We* need to assemble it. That's our Sunday project, then. What's next?

3) I need to get more time on the bike(s). Definitely need to do that.
Picture
4) I need to find a different photo to use for the cover of None So Blind - this photo has been used too many times by other writers - but since the story isn't finished yet, there's not much of a rush on that.

The photo here is of the "mock-up" of the cover, so yes, those watermarks will be gone when I do the final cover.

5) I need to make a final decision on whether or not I'm going to do the "Expanded" edition of Ask Me if I'm Happy to raise money for the Emilia Earthquake recovery efforts.
Picture
6) I need to start selecting Christmas gifts, soon. Wow! Time sure does fly!

7) I need to select a new slow cooker recipe for next week. Hmmmm....
Picture
8) I need to call my mom.

9) I need to look into getting some of my photos printed as posters, for myself and for family members.
Picture
The blur in pink is the niece in question.
10) I need to finish putting my photos of my niece on this flashdrive so I can give them to her mother. Why is this taking me so long?

11) I need to spend a lot less time on Facebook. Ugh.
Picture
He didn't make excuses, so neither should I.
12) I need to wrap up my rewrites on 27 Stages. Definitely.

13) And, finally, I need to do a book trailer for Alternate Rialto, along the lines of what I did for Ask Me if I'm Happy.

So, there you go: 13 Things I Need to Do.

Of course, there's no desperate rush to get things done.

Everything in good time, right?

Besides; a little rest does a body good, don't you agree?

Ciao for now!

I'm not a list-making person, but appreciate the skill (tendency? need?) in those who are. Your list seems to have a lot of creative tasks - I like that. Happy T-13.

I don't make lists as a general rule, but this is a helpful reminder on all counts. LOL!

Making a list of things to do can help keep you focused. Love the buffet!

Now, if I can just keep track of the list in the first place... ;) We'll have to wait and see if my buffet turns out the same as in the picture, though. Heh.

I'm an IKEA addict - but I restrained myself, this time. (Thank goodness!)

Wow! Big list! You can do it. BTW, I love that title "None so Blind". Brilliant.

Thanks for the support, Jennifer! NSB is a Davide story, too - so I hope people who enjoyed him in Ask Me... will like this one as well. More info's coming up on None So Blind next Wednesday when I do another round of The Next Big Thing. :)

The slow cooker dinner sounds good and I like the no excuses photo!

We'll see what I come up with for the dinner, hopefully I can find something else tasty. :) Johnny Hoogerland was a marvel that year, for sure!

You make me tired just from reading your list. LOL. I love the buffet table! I've always wanted one of those to put in my dining room beside my china cabinet. Good luck with your list, Kimberly! I'm sure you'll be checking them off in no time.

Our buffet is going in the kitchen to hold a few appliances so we won't need extension cords for them. It'll be a piece that "pulls the room together", so to speak. Heh.

I did get one thing done today - I called my Mom! :)

You are quite the busy girl. I rather like that None so Blind cover but certainly can understand something different if it has been used elsewhere. Now I have to wonder how something like that happens.

I am, indeed! LOL! I didn't even mention the meeting at work tomorrow. *bleah*

I really hate to change the cover, but there have been so many "self-pubbed" books using the male figure that I'd hate for it to get skipped over, mistaken for a different title. In the end, though, I've found an alternate shot from the same photoshoot that I could probably use.

It's easy enough for it to happen, too - the photo comes from a stock photography site, so anyone can purchase it to use for book covers and the like. And that is such a striking fellow in that shot, well, a number of folks have snapped it up.

Pity. :-/

Christmas? Gulp. I'd rather work on your buffet.

Ouch on the legs.

Love your book trailer.

I like to get the Christmas shopping out of the way early, me. I can't handle the crowds in December. At. All.

Johnny was a hero, for sure.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I don't know why it took me so long to get one done, really. :)

My problem is as fast as one crosses tasks off the list there is a new one to be added!

It must be fun to make a book trailer. I love watching them on youtube. Yours is very charming. The setting is one my go-to places. OMG, what a 'rest photo.' I'm thinking of showing it to an opthalmologist friend who can write very well but lazy and so content to daydream all day, all night :)

It was fun, but it was pretty hard to get it "just right", too. Thank you for your kind words about it, too.

I'm glad you enjoyed the "rest" photo, as well. ;)
